Roads update – 20 July 2022
Work started on a new bridge on Lynches Creek Road on Friday and work is about to start on a new bridge on Campbells Road. Side tracks are in place for both new bridges, which are expected to take six to eight weeks to complete.
One of our bridge crews will complete the first of two bridges on Bingeebeebra Road this week and will move on to the second bridge next week. Work continues on a new bridge on Castilles Road and bridge to pipe projects on Wiangaree Back Road and Ferndale Road.
New bridges on Aspreys Road and Walshs Road were completed this week.
Grading crews are doing flood damage repairs on Collins Creek Road, Atkins Road, Studders Lane and Hootons Road.
Council is patching potholes on Mt Lindesay Road and the Summerland Way and crews are slashing roadsides in the Afterlee and the Cawongla areas.
Our road construction crews are working on Hootons Road, Sextonville Road, Theresa Creek Road and Mallanganee Range on the Bruxner Highway.
Lions Road remain closed north of Murphy Standfield’s culvert to the border.
