Water is a precious resource and every drop of it counts. Saving water helps our environment, the planet and our collective bank balances too.

Producing drinking quality water for a community takes a lot of resources and energy – saving water doesn’t just save money, it saves energy and is a plus for the environment.

We all need to take responsibility for saving water, not just during dry periods but all the time. Australia is the driest populated continent on earth, yet we are the world’s highest water users per capita –  we all need to take responsibility for changing that.

Reducing water use around the house and garden can be as easy as fixing a dripping tap (a tap that leaks at one drop per second wastes 12,000 litres per year), turning off the tap when you brush your teeth, or installing a water efficient showerhead.
