Works update – 8 June 2023
Grading crews continue to do unsealed road flood repairs on Stringy Bark, Murrays Scrub, Old Lawrence, Sargents, Homeleigh, Back Creek, and Smiths Creek roads. The next roads on the list are Boundary Creek, Oxbow, Blackhorse, Vidlers, Appletree Flat, Taylors, O’Neils and Ghinni Ghi roads.
The remediation of the Clarence Way between Urbenville and Woodenbong has been completed.
Sealed road construction crews are currently working on Deep Creek, Kyogle, and Collins Creek roads.
Work on Kyogle Road is nearing completion, but the crew will step away and do heavy patching on the State Highways for the next month. They will return once the landslip repairs on Kyogle Road are completed.
Council is patching potholes on Clarence Way, Gradys Creek and Kyogle roads.
The new bridges on Boomi Creek Road and Montgomerys Road were opened to traffic this week, and the new bridge on Collins Valley Way will be open to traffic tomorrow afternoon.
Crews continue to work on the new bridges on Slaters Road MacQueens Road and two bridges on Duck Creek Road. New bridges on Roseberry Creek and Boorabee Creek roads were started this week.
Contractors continue to work on new bridges on Old Cob O Corn Road, Baileys Bridge Road, and Tims Lane. The new Tims Lane and Old Cob O Corn Road bridges are expected to open in late July.
The restoration of landslips on Atkins, Horseshoe Creek, Back Creek, and Kyogle roads is ongoing. Council is ready to commence works on landslips on Anzac Drive (Geneva Bridge), Williams Road and Gabal Road as soon as we receive approval from Transport for NSW.
