Works update – 13 April 2023

Work has been temporarily scaled back this week as a number of Council crews have taken well-earned breaks over Easter.
Two sealed road flood restoration crews continue to work on Peacock Creek and Kyogle roads. Another sealed roads crew is undertaking the rehabilitation of Chauvel, Stratheden and Earl streets in Kyogle under the State-funded Pothole Repair Program.
Crews currently on leave will return to work on Monday and resume work on Findon Creek Road and the Clarence Way between Woodenbong and Urbenville.
Drainage crews are currently working in the Afterlee, Tunglebung, Duck Creek, Cawongla and Sextonville catchments.
Council is currently grading Wyndham, Roseberry Creek, Creegans, Sextonville, and Pines roads. When these roads are completed, the grading crews will move to the Boorabee catchment and Apple Gum, Eden Creek, Koala Grove, Plantation, Leadbetters, Williams, Barnes, Lilli Pilli and Gooleys roads.
Pothole patching crews will focus on the Clarence Way and Omagh and Afterlee roads over the next two weeks.
Work on the new bridges on Tims Lane and Baileys Bridge Road is continuing, meanwhile the new Gears Bridge on Duck Creek Road has opened to traffic. The crew will tidy up that site when they return from their Easter break and then move on to Allen Bridge on Duck Creek Road.
The new bridge on Old Lawrence Road has opened to traffic and the crew has moved to MacQueens Road Bridge. Work is continuing on Mulcahys Bridge on Boomi Creek Road and the new bridges on Collins Valley Road and Montgomerys Road.
