West of the Range Australia Day festivities will once again be held in the grounds behind the Bonalbo Bowling and Recreation Clubhouse starting at 10am with barefoot bowls, an Ambrose golf competition, and a free sausage sizzle from 11am.

This year there will also be a Show N Shine, with prizemoney and trophies worth $1000 up for grabs.

The annual cane toad weigh-in will take place at noon, with cash prizes on offer for heaviest female and male toads.

The official ceremony including the presentation of the annual Australia Day Awards will kick off at 1pm.

Following the formal ceremony, there will be more fun and games with live music from 2pm, a pitch and putt competition, and gumboot throwing, including the inaugural Rivers of Origin (Clarence v Richmond) Golden Bumboot Toss.

In line with Australia Day celebrations across the Kyogle LGA, entry to the Bonalbo pool will be free on the day, with the pool opening at 11am.
