Temporary closure of Summerland Way 36km north of Kyogle from 12 – 28 March
The Summerland Way, 36km north of Kyogle, will be closed to all traffic from 8pm to 2am Monday to Saturday morning from Monday 12 March while the Roads and Maritime Service carries out slope stabilisation work.
The work site is located about 4km north of Grevillia between Imbreys Road and Montgomerys Road. There is no detour.
The work will involve piling to stabilise the road embankment to provide a safer road environment. It is expected to be completed by Wednesday 28 March, weather permitting.
The daily plan for work is to pre-bore pile holes from around 2pm with stop/slow traffic control conditions in place. The major piling will be carried out from about 8pm when the Summerland Way will be closed to traffic.
The road will reopen once the piles are installed. Emergency access will be maintained at all times.
The RMS advises motorists to plan their journey with the road closure times in mind. If you have any questions, contact Alex Rosnell at the RMS on 02 6640 1300.
