The drop in session at Wiangaree to let people know about two environmental projects happening in the village will now be held on Wednesday, 19 March from 5.30-7pm.

It was originally going to be held on 6 March but was postponed due to Cyclone Alfred.

The drop session will be held at the picnic shelter opposite the Wiangaree Store. No prior booking required. Just drop in and have a chat.

The first of the projects will involve riparian restoration activities along the Richmond River on land managed by Council at Wiangaree. This project is being funded under the Northern Rivers Watershed Initiative.

The second project will see the Border Ranges Richmond Valley Landcare Network undertaking restoration activities around the Wiangaree Lagoon as part of the Kidneys of the Catchment project through North Coast Regional Landcare Networks Caring for Catchments program.
