
Kyogle Landcare is a community-based group of people who work together to regenerate on both private and public land in the urban or rural areas around Kyogle, hold educational workshops, undertake seed propagation and the potting of seedlings for future transplanting and tree planting.
It is a diverse bunch of people all ages and the group would love community members to join them at their open day at the Landcare nursery on 29 May from 9am till 2pm.
Native plants will be on sale for $1 for members and $2 for non-members. There will also be free educational talks, and a delicious Thai lunch will be available for $7.
People can also join Kyogle Landcare on the day. The benefits of being involved in Kyogle Landcare are numerous and include:

The Landcare ethic is to protect the environment and way of life now and for future generations.
Landcare is a nationwide network of volunteer community groups undertaking restoration and sustainable management of our natural resources: water, land and vegetation.
There are more than 4000 community Landcare groups around Australia.
Grants are available to Landcare groups to undertake on-ground work. Kyogle Landcare group restores and maintains many sites in and around Kyogle. The Kyogle Landcare nursery is located next to Alcorn Park and Kyogle Tennis Courts.
