One hundred years ago work started on a vision.  A vision linking Queensland and NSW with a single gauge railway line.

In 1930 that vision was realised.

With the centenary year looming, work is starting with a community conversation around what the 2030 celebrations could look like.

It will explore the possibilities and the opportunities of what this milestone year could look like for Kyogle, the region, the state, and our nation.

You are invited to join in the community conversation starter being held on Thursday, 9 July 2026 from 12.30pm at the Kyogle Memorial Institute Banquet Room.

You are asked to bring your ideas and be brave, bold, and ambitious.

It is envisaged that following this community forum a 2030 Railway Centenary Coordinating Group will be established to lead and plan the celebrations.
