Australia Day Award nominations now open

Nominations for the Kyogle, Woodenbong and West of the Range Australia Day Awards are now open.

Members of the public are being asked to nominate the area’s unsung heroes who deserve recognition for their community endeavors.

Kyogle has six award categories – Citizen of the Year, Junior Citizen of the Year, Senior Sportsperson of the Year, Junior Sportsperson of the Year (under 18), Senior Student of the Year (high school) and Junior Student of the Year (primary) – and nominations will close of 17 December 2018.

Woodenbong has five award categories – Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen, Sportsperson, Community Organisation/Event, and Business/Service – with nominations closing on Monday 31 December 2018.

West of the Range has six award categories – Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen, Senior Citizen, Sportsperson, Community Organisation/Event, and Business/Service – and nominations will close at 4pm on Saturday 15 December 2018.

Hard copies of the Kyogle nomination forms are available from Council’s administration centre, while hard copies of the Woodenbong forms are available at various locations throughout Woodenbong and at Council’s administration centre.

Similarly, hard copies of the West of the Range nomination forms are available from post offices at Bonalbo, Tabulam and Mallanganee and at Council’s administration centre.
