Roads update – 23 June 2022

Council will replace a collapsed culvert on Sextonville Road near Saunders Road tomorrow (Friday). The road will be closed from 8.30am to 3.30pm while the work is undertaken. Residents will be able to detour via Trentys Road and Dyraaba Road or Knights Road and Bolans Road.
Grading of Boorabee Creek Road has started. The drainage crew has moved to Collins Creek Road after fixing the soft spot on Hillyards Creek Road. Council is still grading Station Road and drainage work is continuing at the damaged sealed section of Peacock Creek Road.
Work to repair the hill section of Theresa Creek Road beyond Dugans Road is ongoing.
Council’s “soft spot” crew has completed jobs on Roseberry Creek Road, Link Road and Dingo Gully Road. The crew has now moved to Wiangaree where they are fixing the drainage around the viaduct.
Pothole patching is continuing along the Clarence Way. Council’s new Paveliner pothole patching truck fixed its first pothole on the Clarence Way yesterday. Council now has two Paveliners and the new truck will be based at the Bonalbo depot.
Forest Road has re-opened to one-lane of traffic at the landslip. The speed limit has been reduced to 40km/h, and there are give-way signs controlling the traffic flow.
