KYOGLE LOCAL ENVIRONMENTAL PLAN 2012

Planning proposal to rezone land at 6399 Kyogle Road from Zone RU1 Primary Production to Zone IN1 General Industrial

Council resolved at its Ordinary Meeting of December 12, 2016 (link to Council resolution here) to support a planning proposal to amend the Kyogle Local Environmental Plan 2012 (LEP) to rezone land at 6399 Kyogle Road from zone RU1 Primary Production to Zone IN1 General Industrial. The objectives of the proposed amendment are:

  1. To apply a Land Use Zone and Minimum Lot Size that is appropriate for its location and strategic development potential.
  2. To provide for the efficient use of land and infrastructure and an opportunity for economic development.

The Minister for Planning and Environment has delegated the making of the amending LEP to Council, should it proceed (link to Department of Planning and Environment correspondence here and here)

The Draft LEP Amendment will be available for viewing for a period of 24 days from Wednesday, July 11, 2018 up to and including Friday August 3, 2018 at Kyogle Council Administration Building at 1 Stratheden Street, Kyogle during business hours and on Council’s website using the below links
