Do you want to help organise Kyogle’s Australia Day celebrations? Do you value Australia’s national spirt, its heritage and diversity?
Then come along to a meeting at the Supper Room of the Kyogle Memorial Institute Hall on Tuesday 30 October at 6pm to form a committee to organise and run Kyogle’s 2019 Australia Day celebrations.
The committee will be independent of Council, but will receive Council funding to organise and run the event for the community.
The meeting is open to all members of the community and will elect a committee comprising a chair, deputy chair (optional), secretary and treasurer.
It’s envisaged that membership of the committee will be inclusive and diverse and provide a balance in gender, age and cultural equity.
Kyogle Council Mayor, Cr Danielle Mulholland, will address the meeting on Council’s vision for the celebrations.
Once elected, the new committee will be able to start organising the 2019 event.
