SUMMARY:For Our Elders -- NAIDOC Celebrations Kyogle
DESCRIPTION:The whole community is invited to come along and join in the NAIDOC celebrations on Friday\, 7 July at the Kyogle Amphitheatre. \nThere will be a free sausage sizzle\, musical entertainment\, traditional cooking of Kangaroo gravy and damper\, children’s face painting\, a children’s craft tent which will be making Wogun masks\, games\, and other entertainment. \nA children’s art and writing competition is being run as part of the NAIDOC celebrations\, with the winners announced on the day. \nThe art and writing competition will be run in three age categories: \n\n0 to six years\nsix to 12 years\n12 to 18 years\n\nEntrants as asked to write or draw/paint about why our Elders are so special to the community. \nAll entries need to be handed in at Kyogle Family Support by Friday\, 30 June. \n
