SUMMARY:Surrounds opens at Roxy Gallery
DESCRIPTION:Finishing off this year’s exhibition program at Council’s Roxy Gallery is a vibrant show by three female artists who moved to the Northern Rivers to immerse themselves in the natural surrounds and explore their creative talents. \nThe women\, Kate Henson\, Marita Kohl and Fleur Marsden\, have individual interests in various creative forms from  drawing\, printmaking\, and photography to sculpture. \nThe trio has collaborated on producing a series of individual works\, creating stories and mythology in colour from the natural environments that surround them. \n‘Surrounds’ will officially open on Saturday December 17\, at 1pm\, when the artists will give a talk on the pieces they have contributed to the exhibition. \nIt ‘Surrounds’ will be on exhibit at the Roxy Gallery until 29 January 2023. \nThroughout this exhibition time the Roxy Gallery will close on Public Holidays. \n

SUMMARY:Great Cane Toad Bust - Kyogle
DESCRIPTION:Kyogle Landcare with the support of Kyogle Council will hold a cane toad bust at Kyogle’s Anzac Park on Wednesday\, 25 January. \nThe event will start at 7pm with a toad talk and nibbles\, then everyone will head out to start collecting toads at 8.30pm. \nThere will be prizes for the biggest toad and most toads. \nThose taking part are urged to bring a bucket\, gloves and a torch. \nFor more information contact Tamas on 0438 752 233 or email tamar.cohen@brrvln.org.au \n
