DESCRIPTION:The 3 Nations Rugby League Tournament is an exciting new Indigenous concept involving three indigenous communities in the Northern NSW area: \n\nMuli Warriors (Githabul)\nCasino All Blacks (Bundjalung)\nYamboora Roos (Yaegl)\n\nThe tournament will be played over a nine-week period across Kyogle\, Casino and Yamba. Teams will be competing in \n\nU17’s Boys\nWomen’s\nMen’s\n\nEveryone is invited to come down to New Park Oval and support the Muli Warriors Rugby Aboriginal League Football Club in being crowned the inaugural 3 Nations Champions.

SUMMARY:Wiradjuri Sisters  - Roxy Gallery 4 February - 6 March
DESCRIPTION:The Roxy Gallery is hosting the Wiradjuri Sisters exhibition in February 2022. \nThis is an exciting collection of works in acrylics\, collage and printmaking by Indigenous artists Naomi Grant and Krishna Heffernan. \n\n\n\nThe show is a combination of the creative passion of sisters who live on opposite sides of the country. \nLife and distance have kept them geographically separated\, but they share their love and enthusiasm for each other and the creative arts\, by teaching and helping the other to develop their skills. \nNaomi is a professional artist with more than 40 years’ experience and Krishna has been developing her art practice for the last 10 years. \nBoth work in collage and acrylic techniques to develop layers of colour\, pattern and design with paper and paint. The landscape creates endless inspiration for them. Both are passionate about process and bringing to life the endless beauty and design they see around them. \nKrishna has also been expanding her art work to include printmaking. \nHer black and white prints are highly decorative and reflect the Granite Belt region where she lives. \nThere is also an online gallery for sales which can be found by following this link. \nThe official opening of the exhibition is on Saturday 5 February at 2pm at the Roxy Gallery.  The event will feature an artist talk by Krishna about the art works on display and their creation.
