DESCRIPTION:The BreastScreen NSW North Coast mobile unit will be returning to Kyogle for a four week visit from 30 September until 21 October. \nNext stop will be Bonalbo 21 October – 27 October 2020. \nAppointments are now open for booking. \nOne in seven women in NSW will develop breast cancer in their lifetime. The earlier a cancer is detected\, the greater the likelihood of successful treatment. \nThe BreastScreen NSW program recommends women aged 50 to 74 have a free mammogram every two years. \nBreastScreen NSW is taking all necessary measures in relation to COVID-19 (Coronavirus)\, to protect women\, staff and the wider community. This includes: \n\nPre-screening questions around personal health and travel\nLimiting the number of people in the clinic/van\nPracticing social distancing and providing hand sanitizer in waiting rooms\nA minimal contact check-in process\nAdditional cleaning of equipment and commonly used surfaces.\n\nA GP referral is not necessary; appointments take only 20 minutes. The BreastScreen program on the North Coast also offers free screening appointments all year round at its fixed sites located at Tweed Heads and Lismore. \nTo book a mammogram call 13 20 50 or book online by visiting www.breastscreen.nsw.gov.au \nIt’s important\, it’s free and it could save your life!

SUMMARY:KYA Food Handling Course
DESCRIPTION:Kyogle Youth Action will be running a Food Handling Certificate Course on Wednesday 7 October 2020 as part of its school holiday program. \nThe course is open to young people aged 12-18 and provides a nationally recognised certificate for Use Hygienic Practices for Food Safety and allows graduates to work in the retail\, hospitality\, transport and distributions sectors. \nThe course will run from 10am-4pm at Kyogle Youth Action and a free lunch will be provided. \nFor more information and to register\, contact Mikala youth.worker@kyogletogether.org.au or phone 0406 725 166.
