This year’s Australia Day celebrations will be held at the Woodenbong Hall (subject to COVID-19 restrictions).

The festivities will kick off at 8.30am  with billy tea and damper and will be followed by a flag raising ceremony at 9.45am and the official proceedings, including the Australia Day Address and presentation of Australia Day Awards.

The Australia Day ambassador, mathematician, author and media personality, Dr Clio Creswell, will deliver the Australia Day address.

After the official ceremony, there will a free lunch, then it’s down to the Woodenbong recreation ground for the annual city versus country cricket match.

And for those who would rather celebrate Australia Day with a swim, entry to the Woodenbong pool will be free on the day and the Woodenbong Swimming Club will be organising some fun activities for the young and the young at heart from 2-5pm.
