Join star gazers on Satruday 21 March at the Tabulam Golf Course where local weather maestro, Steve Symonds, will take you on a journey across the night sky.
Bring a picnic hamper, a chair, binoculars or a telescope, a torch and settle in to view the evening sky from the comfort of a grassy fairway — weather permitting.
Its hoped that some very large telescopes will be available to help star gazers find their way to the galaxies and constellations. It’s hope that people will get to see the Magellanic Clouds, the four Galilean Moons of Jupiter and, with luck, the Milky Way.
Camping available at the Tabulam race course for a small fee.
Stargazing at 7pm for an 8pm start. Simply come along to the Tabulam golf course club house (the shed), Charles Street, Tabulam, Park in Tabulam Road.
Entry is a gold coin donation to the Rural Fire Service.
If the weather prevents the sky from being seen on 21 March, cancellation of the event will be announced in
The Northern Star’s ‘What’s On’, Also, on the Tabulam Community Noticeboard.
