The Cawongla Community Centre is hosting a Community Working Bee and Bonfire on Saturday, 28 June.
It will be a day dedicated to connection, collaboration, and creating a more welcoming space for all and will run from 11am to 8pm.
Volunteers will help transform the front garden into a low-maintenance, snake-safe native area. Community members are invited to bring along gardening tools, or assist with an indoor spring clean.
The event will feature support from The Weedy Gardener and a range of family-friendly activities, including lantern-making to mark the Winter Solstice and an exciting visit from the local fire truck.
Warm slow-cooked meals and non-alcoholic drinks will be provided (BYO other beverages). The day will conclude with a bonfire finale, safely managed by the local Rural Fire Service.
All are welcome — come along to lend a hand and help strengthen community spirit at the Cawongla Community Centre.
