Walk and Talk
Wiangaree – River Restoration Site
Kyogle Council has recently commenced restoring a section of the Richmond River at Wiangaree. Restoration activities will include fencing, weed control and planting natives along the riverbank under funding from the Northern Rivers Watershed Initiative along with Council.
Council, along with a local Bush Regenerator, invites you to a community tree planting morning followed by a walk and talk of the project site to view and and discuss the river and activities to restore it.
Meet at the northern end of Worendo Street.
Participants are encouraged to wear sturdy boots and bring gloves, hat, water and sunscreen.
