2021 West of the Range Australia Day festivities will be held in the grounds behind the Bonalbo Bowling and Recreation Clubhouse starting at 10am.

The festivities will include market stalls, barefoot bowls at the Bowling Club and an ambrose event at the golf course.

There will be a free sausage sizzle from 11.30am.

The official ceremony including the presentation of the annual Australia Day Awards will kick off at 1pm.

Dr Brian Pezzutti, will be the official Australia Day guest.

Dr Pezzutti, who was raised in Bonalbo, was elected to the NSW Parliament’s Legislative Council in 1988 and served the State for almost 15 years.

While an MLC, he served as a member of the Australia Army Reserve in the Gulf War (1991), Bougainville (1995, 1998) and East Timor (1999). He was also Brigadier Assistant Surgeon General of the Australian Defence Forces from 2000 to 2004.

In line with Australia Day celebrations across the Kyogle Council local government area, entry to Bonalbo pool will be free on the day. Bonalbo pool will host Council’s inflatable activity centre on the day.
