There will be a free family event in Kyogle to mark International Bat Appreciation Day on Wednesday, 16 April.

It will be held at the Kyogle Tennis Courts from 3-6pm and will feature a number of activities including:

• Facts on bats
• Bat-themes arts and crafts
• Pickle ball and handball
• Food (pizza and refreshments provided)

Those attending will also be able to watch the local flying fox colony on Fawcetts Creek fly out at sunset.
