A selection of works by members of the Lismore Over 50s Learning Centre will be gracing Council’s Roxy Gallery during August.
The works were all created during creative arts classes at the Learning Centre this year.
It promises to be an interesting and exciting exhibition, with some members only just discovering the joys of art making, while others exhibit their works for the first time in a gallery environment.
The Lismore Over 50s Learning Centre is a non-profit community-based organisation offering activities for the over 50s age group.
Their members are a dynamic group of tutors and students interested in developing skills and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. This organisation has been in operation since 1982 and it is provides great opportunities for people to meet new friends, learn new skills, and explore creative interests.
The Lismore Over 50s exhibition opens to the public on Wednesday 7 August, with the official opening taking place on Saturday 10 August from 1-3pm.
Those attending the official opening will have the chance to mingle with the artists and find out more about the Lismore Over 50s Learning Centre.
The exhibition will be on show until 8 September. Many works will be available for purchase.
