Kyogle Council is committed to consulting with the community and encourages feedback and input from the public at every opportunity.
Council places a range of documents on exhibition for public comment.
Copies of items on public exhibition are available for viewing at Council's administration centre at 1 Stratheden Street, Kyogle, during normal business hours Monday to Friday from 8.30am-4pm throughout the exhibition period.
You can lodge a submission on all items on public display by following the quick links at the bottom of the page or by writing to the General Manager, Kyogle Council, PO Box 11, Kyogle, NSW, 2474.

Draft Delivery Program 2017/2021 and Operational Plan 2017/2018 Draft Fees and Charges 2017-2018 on public exhibition
Council resolved at its ordinary meeting on 10 April 2017 to place the Draft Delivery Program 2017/2021 and Operational Plan 2017/2018 including the Draft Fees and Charges for 2017/2018 on public exhibition.
The public exhibition period gives ratepayers and residents the opportunity to comment on the proposed budget for the 2017/2018 year. The capital works planned for the next four years are also detailed in the document.
The public exhibition period closes at 4pm on Friday 19 May 2017. Written submissions are encouraged and should be addressed to the General Manager. The documents can be viewed here:

Draft Disability Inclusion Action Plan
Kyogle Council resolved at its Ordinary Meeting of 8 May 2017 to seek public comments on its recently prepared draft Disability Inclusion Action Plan (DIAP). The draft DIAP is the Council’s ‘standalone plan option’ response to the requirements of the NSW Disability Inclusion Act 2014 and State guidelines requiring all NSW local councils to implement disability inclusion action planning focused on the key areas of:
- Attitudes and behaviours
- Liveable communities
- Systems and processes
The draft DIAP, once adopted, will represent the Council’s over-arching policy framework for disability inclusion action planning and will:
- Apply to the four key areas affecting all of its operations; and
- Be reviewed as part of the Council’s existing Integrated Planning and Reporting processes under the Local Government Act 1993.

Proposed amendment to Kyogle Local Environmental Plan 2012
Council resolved at its Ordinary Meeting of December 12, 2016 to support a planning proposal to amend the Kyogle Local Environmental Plan 2012 (LEP) to Council resolved at its Ordinary Meeting of December 12, 2016 to support a planning proposal to amend the Kyogle Local Environmental Plan 2012 (LEP) to amend Schedule 1 of the LEP to include development of a concrete works (pre-cast concrete products manufacturing facility) as development that is permitted with consent on land at 4-8 Craig Street, Kyogle. The subject site is shown below.
The site is currently in Zone IN2 Light Industrial under the provisions of the LEP. Concrete works (which are a type of General industry) are prohibited in Zone IN2. Amending Schedule 1 of the LEP as proposed will allow a development application to be made for a concrete works on the site. The Minister for Planning has delegated the making of the amending LEP to Council, should it proceed.
The Draft LEP Amendment will be available for viewing for a period of 30 days from Wednesday April 26, 2017 up to and including Friday May 26, 2017 at Kyogle Council Administration Building at 1 Stratheden Street, Kyogle during business hours or by clicking here to view the planning proposal or by clicking here to view the gateway determination.
Any person may make a submission on the Draft LEP Amendment during the period stated above. Submissions should be made in writing and addressed to ‘The General Manager, Kyogle Council, PO Box 11 Kyogle NSW 2474’ or emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.

Payment of Expenses and Provision of Facilities for Councillors Policy
Council resolved at its Ordinary Meeting on 8 May 2017, to place its updated Payment of Expenses and Provision of Facilities for Councillors policy on public exhibition.
The public exhibition period gives ratepayers and residents the opportunity to comment on the revised policy before it is formally adopted.
