Regional Jobs and Investment Packages for North Coast Packages

The Australian Government, through the Department of Industry, Innovation and Science has launched its Regional Jobs and Investment for North Coast Packages offering $25 million for our region for job creating projects.

Projects can be for local infrastructure, business innovation or skills and training. Generally, up to 50% of the value of a project can be funded by the grant with a minimum grant value of $50,000 (i.e. minimum project value = $100,000), other than for ‘skills and training’ projects which have no minimum grant amount.

Key industry sectors being targeted are those identified in the North Coast Region of NSW Local Investment Plan, being: food manufacturing and agribusiness, digital economy, advanced manufacturing, visitor economy, education and training industry and ageing economy. Applications must be in by 31 July 2017.

Kyogle Council sees this as a significant opportunity to help launch job-creating projects in our area – either by building on existing businesses or supporting new ventures and business capabilities.
